Always busy (a reliably good sign) this is a chip shop dealing in seriously generous portions and with immaculate hygiene. Even the 'small' bag of chips will probably be more than you can eat, but check out the delicious potato cakes too (they do a multi-purchase deal on that one, so you can probably feed the family for under £1. There is actually a small seated area to the left of the front door (and a fantastically detailed local 'what's on' board behind it) so if the weather is lousy, you can always sit in and eat your food in relative comfort. Unpretentious, clean and reliable - just how a local chippie should be.

Good chipshop, has speedy service and the food is usually pretty good (sometimes its been a bit dodgey).
Relatively cheap and usually busy, so some very encouraging signs.
As said in other reviews, yes there are two tables which consitute as a seating area and too a noticeboard with . . . well some notices. -

This is everything you expect in a good chippy. Great fish and chips and friendly staff. Prices are good and there are a few tables inside, so you could sit down and eat if you wanted to. Unfortunatly there is no parking outside. The high street is the closest. It is always busy - a very good sign. Highly reccomended.

A good chip shop selling great chippy food. What more can you say - there are not eating in facilities at this chippy - just a takeaway service but definitely worth trying if you are in town. Always very busy when the market is held every Wednesday and Saturday.
